camokid 125
hi lads. iv been mad on shooting my hmr since i got it every other gun has taken a back seat. but i had to do a bit of work with the air rifle last night and it felt like a toy to use lack of power the 17 hmr is top for smashing rabbits to bits at all sorts of range. so now thinking of going fac its a daystate airwolf 177 would you lot say to do it or not and whats the bad points good points ect ect any comments welcome thanks Quote Link to post

Mr_Logic 5
Personally I wouldn't worry about over-limit air rifles; unless you have a very specific requirement a 22 LR can do the job for less money and with more flexibility. Quote Link to post
dicehorn 38
the 17 hmr is top for smashing rabbits to bits at all sorts of range. ----------any comments welcome thanks Most people try not to smash rabbits to bits - seems a waste of a natural organic food source. The good news about uprating the 177 is that you will obviously be able to extend your killing range. The bad news is that if you ever decide to sell the FAC air then it will only appeal to a limited market Quote Link to post
camokid 125
you can not hit a rabbit in the head with a hmr and not smash it. good point tho about selling it on at a later date.......... Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
Yes you can, 20grain JSP bullet. Hardly marks them. Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
waste of money imo. been there and had one. well it does give you more range. not much more ! just more stopping power. if you can use the 22lr or hmr then no need for fac air. resale prices are the killer. not nly have you go to spend money to fac the rifle. you are then losing out on resale price when selling fac air. where the standard air rifle will hold value better.
