Guest arch1
To true, to true. One off my best mates is big into Carping but he has never "Fished" proper in his life. He just reads it all in a book. Ask him to put a Stick float on or cast a fly he's bolaxed. He'll never have the pleasure of seeing that float dip, then go under 30 yards down the swim, to strike and feel the weight of the fish on the hook. Thats real fishing in my book. Quote Link to post

"Earth!" 503
caught my biggest pike about 5 years ago while mepps spinning for perch, didnt have any scales on me but it was a good fish.before then,my PB was 18lb,this fish was much bigger.the water i caught it on often produces high 20's and the odd 30lb fish.must be all the wild brownies the river holds.
