Mr Jones 4 Posted October 29, 2009 Report Share Posted October 29, 2009 I think there is a lot of differing opinions on here mate, depends on the definition "starting them", to be of an age to do what an adult dog does then I think the general concensus is around 10 months - 1 Year, some say longer for bigger prey though..... I've got my bitch out watching lamping and ferreting at 7 months (some would probably say this was too early). She's definitely got the idea and it can be hard to hold her back. She can be a pain in the arse if the sport is coming thick and fast as well. The previous poster seems to have the concensus on here about right.
