Cold Ethyl 63 Posted November 1, 2009 Report Share Posted November 1, 2009 DONT give your dog immodium ive done it myself till vets told me theres something in it that can cause fits in dogs try dioralyte to make sure its getting fluids and the electolytes it needs and a raw egg whisked up helps bind them.If no change in a day vets mate. Black stools is often due to high iron content from liver or hearts etc or in the worse case digested blood from an upper gi bleed. I'd with hold food for 24 hours, give water then a bland diet for the next 24. If not improving vets, if looking out of sorts vets, if not sure vets. If there is a stomach bug then avoid dairy products like yougurt. Bones may cause constipation that can mask the symptoms you need to monitor. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
