merle24 61
Its a bit of a grey subject imo, as dogs in the wild would eat raw meat and they are adapt to cope with this in there digestive system, BUT, when you cook meat, i dont mean cook the hell out of it but just brown it slightly it could actually work in the dogs favour as this helps to breakdown the proteins in the meat which will inturn aid digestion and protein absorbtion. Attack Fell Terrier 864
thought that so gave him some raw mince and wolfed it down, will i just do the same with rabbit?? just skin gut and give it to him? Any Rabbit you catch, freeze it first because of the worms it can give your dog. You're menat to freeze them for around 2 - 3 weeks so I'm lead to believe. If you get a lot of rabbit then just make sure you do your stock rotation and you wont get mixed up with whats what. Raw is best because not nutrients drip out of the food like when they do when they're being cooked. A dogs system has evolved to eat raw flesh and bone.
