wheaten crosses

now i dont want to cause an argument when i say this, but alot of the wheaton x's i have seen look rather heavy, like a 1st x bull...........i expected then to have a racier build to them??

 

 

A first cross Wheaten will have a heavy build just like a first cross bull. Have you seen the chest on a proper Wheaten Terrier ?

yes i agree, but like any 1/4 will most likely come ot racey. the wheaten is a well built dog true (dont mean to sound like a "drop mi kegs n wak 1 out over a bull x") but i dont see much comparison between a bull and a wheaten (in build wise).....as i think the wheaten is naturally a lot racier looking than a pit.....i just expected 1st x's to come out smaller than they do....if that makes sense??

 

I hear you, BUT. It all depends on the Wheaten or at least the ones you've seen. I had a nice Wheaten bitch until she was 2 and she was very well built with a right swede on her and very strong 20" ATS. Easily as well built as a lot of the pits you see around Birmingham.

i dont think you will get to many replies ,this breed does not seem that popular any more ,may be it has run its course .

do ya know of any one who breeds good wheaton greyhounds [bANNED TEXT] wouldn,t mind one myself

 

 

A mate of mine in Devon has a cracking litter right now from a 1st x Wheaten Grey dog to a bull whipp grey bitch.Pups are 1/4 Wheaten 1/4 Bull 3/8 Greyhound 1/8 Whippet.

i,m breeding my bitch in the few days she bull deerhound i,ve got the choice of 1x weaton or its son which is 1/4 im in 2 minds 1/4 is more racey and the 1x is a brickhouse the bitch i,ve got is racey anyway and i,ve already got a machine 29 30 tts deerhoundbull which is of the bitch which is of prevoisly litter which is 2 now,anyone had this predicment before i which way did yous lad and lasses prefer to go . cheers any advice would be brilliant shes ready on the weekend Edited November 4, 2009 by deerhound hunter
