consett lad 43 Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 me and me mate went for a couple of hours shoot on the only bit of stuble left on the land we shoot. we got there for about dinner time and there was a few birds moving about so we got set up and befor we could sit down there was a massive flock of about 30 birds straight in at the decoys and for the next couple of hours they just kept on coming we shot just under 50 and a few crows and must of missed as many again a great couple of hours sport i forgot to take the camra so sorry no photos Quote Link to post

The birds round my way are still in the main in the woods on berries and beech mast, havnt touched the rape yet. Anyway, didnt bother with the pigeons, there were 36 pheasants on the field so i played with those Quote Link to post

Anyway, didnt bother with the pigeons, there were 36 pheasants on the field so i played with those most of the ones up my way must be still feeding on the beach nuts there crops were chocker with them thats chance to be why a cany few flew a few fields befor dropping. we shot that same field 2 weeks ago and only shot ten all day there was nowt even flying. but it was totaly different yesterday they were every where Quote Link to post
