A nasty old wound

Some of the guys that follow my little forum will be aware of this story already, apologies if this is the case :11:

But back in April my young lurcher "Toby" the pocket rocket chased a demon bunny and ran straight into a rusty old barbed wire fence, at the time i thought that his days of rabbiting were gone

Anyway got it stitched up and the skin and stiches just slopped off over the next week or so.

Here is the resulting photo:

Poor old chap had to stand and watch the rest of the action for the remainder of the season

After much expense and loads of trips to the vet for redressing etc, a decision was taken to try and pull the wound in a bit with a futher op, this did exactly the same thing as the first stitching and fell apart.

Here is the picture straight after the op.

This put us back weeks and after discussing this with a knowlegable fellow and taking his advise the bandage was taken off and vet was abandonded.

Two weeks ago the wound was bigger than in the last photo.

With that advise in hand and a bit of fresh air to it, this is the wound today

What a difference eh?

Moral of the story?

Not realy sure, but i dont trust vets anymore thats for sure.

So its back to a little obedience training and walks now, and looking foward, not back.
