bob.243 9,032
Hi, Has anyone had any dealings with Mossberg rifles, I'm curios to know the quality of them and if they are any good? Regards Bob. Quote Link to post
Fishslayer 10
I've seen mixed reviews on the interweb with most of them positive. One of my friends just bought an ATR scope combo in .243 and is shooting 2 inch groups at 100yds with cheap ammo after only a couple boxes. This is his first rifle since his issued M16 in Vietnam in the '60s. I shot about 10 rounds through it and really liked the trigger. It seems to be a solid, well-built rifle. He chose it over a similar Savage. We are going on an axis deer doe hunt in December. I can post a field report later if you remind me. Cheers, Mark Quote Link to post

My buddy with the ATR has been on stand but nothing showed up but bucks (non-shooters). Unfortunately, he has yet to take anything with his Mossberg but I will be sure to post a report (and hopefully pics) when he does. We've got another hunt in the works. Cheers, Mark Quote Link to post
