i have a lurcher that is in the middle of been softmouthed and hardmouthed i was just wondering would a gun dog trainer be able to train my dog to not damage the rabbits would it be possible??

 

 

can you have her on dead rabbits for a bit just for her to fetch them back to you that way they are not kicking when she picks them up i got cocker spainiels and that how i trained mine when i shot some thing and it was stil moving he used to leave teeth marks in it i found out he was young so had him on dead ones for till he was 14 months old

do u feed her rabbit whole ?? if so stop . try skinning rabbit and putting it around dummie and seee if she will retrieve it if she does it wont be long before she starts retrieving the real thing.u said she was inn between hard soft mouthed how do u know if she not bringing them back sounds to me she killing them after catching them so she very hard mouthed. bet u she,s a bull cross had a few of my own try that with rabbit and let us know ATB
