Mr Hunter 30
A lot of greyhound trainers use it in the summer months for their dogs but a topic on this forum moved on to the use of this after a lads dog had fitted in his car after a nights lamping and not many had used it they used the trusty mars bar trick. But you can buy all ingredients to make your own over the counter at a chemist which will save a fortune. Guest dances
sugar in water Quote Link to post
mattydski 560
Sugar in water is a good source of energy.. Electrolytes also contain salts to aid in rehydration, which is not as efficient with just sugar. Good rehydration is essential in sports nutrition to reduce the recovery time...and hence allow the athlete/dog to repeat his performance again in a shorter time spell.] Quote Link to post

timmy k 590
sugar in water is over simplifing it read the ingrediants on the isotronic sports drinks and youll see heres a recepi i found 2 teaspoons lo salt 1 1/2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda 4 teaspoons glucose mix and add 1 tablespoon to 1/2 gallon of water. this solution is made for dogs only but still tastes like dishwater Quote Link to post

Wild_and_Irish 11
Use diluting orange with sugar and a teaspoon of salt, our hurling coach gives that to us, or if you want just mix up some water with the lucozade sport powder you can buy, same thing. Quote Link to post
Aaron Proffitt 142
I use Liquid Life Aid, works very well for my dogs, just as good as recharge, but less expensive. http://www.hyperdrug.co.uk/Liquid-Life-Aid...uctinfo/LIQ960/ Frank. Same here ,Frank ... I use the same product when tempertures unexpectedly climb during the pheasant season . High temps are tough on Labs . My running dogs also get it after a long coyote chase . Joe1302 0
handy to have a bottle in the back of the truck helps you never know when you might need it. also use them for pigeon racing just as good does the same thing always helps after a race. atb joe Quote Link to post

UNFIT 0
thanks for the replis lads i will be geting some and keeping it in the lamping bus lol jest in case its needed.cheers david put it with the oxy bottle and plasters ,you will be geting them nice new pink coats next dai,in case it rains when they are out .mate if you work them loose ,and start them young you wont have any need for stuff like that because they will get to know their limits ,unlike the slip and chase at 100 mile a hour dogs .plus they will find a drink if needed .
