Deker 3,478
just been asked to cull some geese with rifle got to take about of a lake dont like to do this thing but its a job and been ask to keep the deer down a bit as well You're going to get your feet wet..and/or have a long job! Doing a similar job on a Golf course with 5 lakes totaling about 60 acres of water (main one is 55 acres), the Canada (predominantly) Greylag (loads) and Egyptian are causing grief. Couldn't get the appropriate permission for the Egyptian but the Greylag are cleared! But this course stubbornly refuse to clear the deer, they are almost tame, although they are not at all confined to the Golf course! Have fun and remember those feathers take some getting through! ATB! Quote Link to post
Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Advice .Dont head shoot and take birds away from the main raft .Geese will take a lot of shooting at until one of their number spots you or flaps into the main raft .Get the use of a strong swimming dog BEFORE you start shooting .
