SportingShooter 0
Do a HPI check, I'll see if I can find a link. Link : http://www.hpicheck.com/newfrontend/
kristian 9
Have a search on net under hpi as i found one for my mate the other day when he went to view a car. It was a text number and i think it cost him about £3 ish he text the plate and got a reply in minutes. Don't know if it works on motox bikes though you'd have to check first? Atb Kristian. Your best bet is to ask the owner if it's ok if he goes to the nick with you to check out the numbers, if it's legit he won't mind.
arnieboy 93
some of the numbers only tell you if they are stolen or write offs NOT IF THEY ARE ON FINANCE !!!!!! watch out ask as if they are and you buy it it CAN still be repossesed buy the finance company wouldnt want to meet any members on here in that situation

AFAIK, it is still the case that Police will run a registration through the PNC and tell you "If they have any interest in the vehicle". That's what I was told when I asked and it was done on my current car. Some forces may not be so open about it. As for MotoX bikes, if they aren't registered then it'll just be if they are stolen and the chassis numbers are held, as has beens said
littletimmy 71
cheers .. i think .. although im still confused as what to do The hpi check website only caters for things with a reg plate by the looks of it? As for going the police station, the lad bought it out the auto trader about 6 months ago and thats why i want to check its not reported stolen. Can it be done over the phone, i don't like the inside of cells cheers
fraggle 4
i had a yam 125 stolen, due to the fact it has no reg plate it is near on impossible to track, the only way it can be found is if it is found by the police and they run the frame number/ engine number that i gave them. if you go to the police with his engine. frame number and give it to the police they can check it on there data base. If it dose come up stolen they will tell you or ask where the bike is. Otherwise than that your on your own lol. Well this is what happend to me, it was stolen 2 yrs ago and i only had it for 2 weeks still pissed of to this day. 2 grand down the drain lol. oh and as you have bought it, the bike would be seased from you i belive and you loose out aswell. the bike would be taken and returned to the right full owner.
