Probably due to the fact that they are readily available and a safe bet in terms of predictability of the outcome of the offspring. I think that a first cross saluki x bull may produce a lot of wastage in the litter, but if you did get the wright type out of this breeding it maybe a good dog, but if you used a bullgery instead you maywell get less wastage. merle24 61 Posted October 24, 2009 Report Share Posted October 24, 2009 first cross bull deerhound, That dog looks like hes got fire in his belly, looks ideal for the bigger stuff or the back biters, althought for a more versatile dog i would have it put back to a straight or 3/4 greyhound. so thefrore the same result could have been acheived with one mating of a deerhoundgrey x bullgrey.
