Like you say most people tend to use the greyhound or whippet for the baseline in general lurcher breeding. Probably due to the fact that they are readily available and a safe bet in terms of predictability of the outcome of the offspring.

I think that a first cross saluki x bull may produce a lot of wastage in the litter, but if you did get the wright type out of this breeding it maybe a good dog, but if you used a bullgery instead you maywell get less wastage. TRY IT AND FIND OUT.

That dog looks like hes got fire in his belly, looks ideal for the bigger stuff or the back biters, althought for a more versatile dog i would have it put back to a straight or 3/4 greyhound. so thefrore the same result could have been acheived with one mating of a deerhoundgrey x bullgrey.

hes just under 29tts hes only had a few rabbits. almost 12 mths old.

hope he does you proud mate,he looks a strong dog and good luck with him
