JackReid 35
If that’s your most spectacular shot, I dread to think what you like on a bad day. Maybe you should get a spud gun for awhile? JackReid, There is no need to bring the lad down, that’s not the idea about the post that i started friend. It's for people to share with us whats memorable to them. If you wanted me to be really honest with you friend, I know guys on here that make the type of shot that you are talking about on a daily basis. Your shot isn’t really something to brag about after bringing a person down for sharing with us all something memorable to him. Please dont take this the wrong way, but there are regulars on here that are trying hard to get new blood into our sport. This is done by being kind, patient, helpful and passing on our experience. Zini I gather your point but I felt that it was a bit distasteful to have it on a most memorable shot thread, finding amusement in a rabbit flipping about. There wont be a sport if we keep feeding the anti's with ammunition like that. Im not saying that doesnt happen, sure everyones had a shot like that, I just thought it was a bit out of place and by not saying anything is almost encorouging. I was a bit snappy though so apologises for that! No hard feelings. All the best Quote Link to post

Marksman 934
Good on ya for the apology jack. It takes a better man to lay an apology than to respond with an argumentative reply. Nice one!! Darryl Quote Link to post
snipercp 0
i was sitting in my bed room window at my grandmas when a woodie landed on a tree about 25 yard away i took a shot at it with my fn12, it tucked its wings in and droped like a brick i walked over and had a look at it the pellet had gone in one eye and out the other, connor Quote Link to post
luke. 9
Well lads seeing thats its so quiet in here over the past few days i thought i better get a post going that all can get involved in. Lets here about the shooters most spectacular shot. One shot that they will always remember either due to range, accuracy or something else. The rules are that the post cant be more than a quarter of a page as we will never get through them all, and they have to be shooters honour and true. Ill start the post with mine When out ferretting with a cousin about 4 years ago i was watching the nets on the right hand side of a hedge on a freshly ploughed field. A bunny hopped out the hedge a good distance infront of me. I instinctly lifted my old Stealth 2000 and aimed about 3 inches above its head as i had no mil dot at the time but knew the bunny was far. My normal zero is 30 metres. I pulled the trigger from a standing shot and watched the bunny topple over dead 2 seconds later with just one kick of its back leg. I walked over to the bunny and picked him up while examining him to find a clinical brain shot. When i turned around and looked at my footprints in the field I then realised just how far it was. I paced my way back in a straight line and found it to be 63 metres. This was with a 12 FP Stealth 2000. This is my best ever shot. My witness is also on the forum. My cousin shanebuchanan. Zini Hello Zini, my 1st most rememberable shot was by my friend about 4 years back. We were messing around target shooting in his back garden with an old webley at about 11FP when a big fuking seagull was way over head. Then the next thing i new the shot was taken and 2-3 seconds later a little poof of feathers apeared and its wings tucked back and the decent began, but unfortunatly it landed in the road behind so off we went to check it out and there it was lying at the side of a transit van which hit collided with to see it out. UNFORGETABLE. The 2nd shot was mine, i just had bought a Crossman Ratcatcher and decided to test it out so we went to sone land near were we live and i had the zero to about 35-40 yds. So me being confident i had a stupid shot at a little "mickey mouse" head on the top of a car airial around the size of a squashball and what a shot it was, i was over the moon and the best thing is there was witnesses to prove it haha, thanks for reading. Luke. You said it buddy Not trying to ruin the thread and yes I agree it would be 'memorable' but that is surely ammo for the antie's? You not only had a witness to the 'cracking shot' , you were very lucky! Your witness would have made an excellent witness for the Crown Prosecution Service that could put you away for the mandatory minimun term. In the spirit of of this thread, please put up your memorable shots but please make sure you use some common sense and dont put up stuff that shows the rest of us law abiding shooters in a bad light! zini 1,939
Smith just be very careful friend what you post in this site mate. I see that you were happy with the shot on the fox and i am only imagining that you are talking about a FAC rifle here. I know someone very well on here that has a 90 FP Ripley and has dropped foxes stone dead so i know that your not fibbing, however i dont condone what he does and dont agree either. You will find that the post that you have posted will offend people in here so better edit it before someone gets upset mate. Its friendly advice only, take it or leave it. I have alot of friends on this site and have worked hard with them to get new blood into our sport. Please help us by keeping our good name. Zini. Quote Link to post

Countrykid 1
My brother was shooting in our garden with a .22 air rifle. His friend was over and dared him to shoot our dads glass. He aimed at it but didn't Then my dad picked the glass up and walked down the garden. When it was clear my brother shot at the coke bottle we were shooting at (full of water) It richocheted and smashed the glass clean whilst my dad was holding it. Not a purpose shot but was quite funny. Quote Link to post
