is that a ped or a faster non-ped whippet? do many people breed lurchers out of the non-peds?

i dont think many would be arsed wether it was ped or not in the make up of a lurcher.

i no, but the non-ped racers are quite a bit faster, ( have been told they are the festest dog over short distances) does this make the prefured in lurcher breeding to the peds. i no its not al about speed when it comes to lurchers so i am not sure.

MY FAMILY HAVE RACED THESE DOGS FOR OVER35 YEARS

SO I KNOW THE BREEDING BACK TO THE 60S

i have a bitch from the same litter as little bill (think thats his racing name) shes a good little rabbiting dog as she is but is only 19" i am thinking of crossing her with a grey or a saluki grey but im not sure, any ideas?

for any of you that watch the non-ped racing and were at the bwra you mite have seen little bill race, i have his sister but that does not mean she will be a british champ like her bro, i have not raced her but mite give it a go. but shes a bloody fast little dog and ok on the lamp and ferreting so i would like to keep her blood but i want somthing a little bigger not to much would a grey be a good option and what sizeish would i get, shes 19"?

im verry happy with her so far would like to race her to but im not sure if she would do both shes had a few solo and practice runs. but this is a hunting forum so i wont blabber to much. i think shed make a good bases for a nice lurcher just got to find the right dog.
