I've just got myself a Logun solo, it's a precharged single shot for £299 gets delivered tomorrow hopefully :thumbs-up: but now I've ordered it I've started hearing scary stories about the reliabilty of logun guns (mainly the s16) I'm not too worried as it's coming with a decent guarentee, just wondering what you guys thought??? anything I should look out for??? (this is my first pcp)

P.S thanks for the help everyone (esp. baldie :good: ) with the relum, finally got into it, just waiting for the bits to turn up! soon have it good as new! :signthankspin:

Hiya mate, got myself a Logun Solo last week. First impressions a good accurate piece of kit. Dropped a couple of woodies with it first time out, though couldn't get near to the bunnies, had a stroppy teenager with me making more noise than you'd think possible.

I heard a rumour that they are making a retrofitting magazine for the solo but nothing out there I can find yet.

Happy shooting :D

Sorry to say it, but i,ve heard poor reports about the solo, the s16,s cant be given away second hand, and the std logan rifle [ inline mag] i owned briefly , was utter shite. The only good loguns were the ones Jim made himself, before Richard North and simmonds/ags bought him up, and ruined a wonderful rifle. Not all the solo,s are bad, but i,ve seen and heard of quite a few, that were "not good".

Yep know what you mean dan, I've been looking at uttings.com, and they have a logun Solo Barrel Band that supposedly stops the barrel moving out of alignment when knocked about. Might be worth a try for £15. :icon_eek:

That's where I ordered my gun from! saw the barrel band but didn't know what it was for so thought better of paying out for it? what goes wrong with the barrels then?

The have whats called a free floating barrel, it sits above the stock, not attached as such, for 95% of it's length. The strap will give more stability at the muzzle end.

Well it came yesterday about 1 by the time I'd nipped over to Street to pick up some new scope mounts (my old ones didn't fit!) finally worked out how to charge the damn thing (adaptor has to be really tight or it just leaks out of the bleed valve! ) it was 8 oclock! half hour later I'd managed to get it zero'd to 30 paces pretty well. by then it was too dark to have a quick snoop around (I'd forgotten the lamp! )

First impression's seems good, though pcp's aren't as quiet as magazines make out, you still get a fairly loud snick from internal springs (trigger I presume?) and it's a bit of a b*****d to load and I've only got little fingers! still practice makes perfect. On the plus side, accuracy was stunning and absolutley no recoil, you can almost watch the pellet hit its aim point (if it wasn't so dark!!!) and of course there's virtually no maintainance required, BONUS! quick wipe over job done!!! I'll beheading out this weekend so try and get some photos of the first trip out with it! :good::yahoo:

Get a Weihrach (spelling) silencer for it, will make it quieter than a vicars fart. :11:

Thats the one I got, It just seems to be a spring in the trigger somewhere? maybe a little bit of use and it'll quieten down, if not I'll get it checked over.

Have you tried it at long range yet? I've only shot it at 30yds but it's supposed to be able to get 1/2" groups at 50yds+ :icon_eek:

I'll try and get down the range at some point and get it on a bench but for now it's zero'd enough for those bunnies!!!. I'm using accupell's for now.

Got mine zeroed in at 30 yards as I mainly go lamping, but am very tempted to get a bipod for it to shoot longer distances. I have ordered a band from uttings, I'll let you know if it is worth it.

All I can say is that I bought a second hand Gladi8or and love it to bits. I have never used a gun that is so accurate and fun to use. It is so accurate it's almost boring. It's going back for service tomorrow as it is due, Logun said it will be picked up tomorrow (Wednesday) and hope to have it back to me by the weekend fully serviced.
