ferret food

just woundered what people think best meats are i feed hole rabbits (gutted) pigien fesant and the odd macrul but have beentold they like squirrel and other meats any ideas???

I feed mine Vitalin and give em raw meat on a night

 

They also get treats like, raw egg, cat milk and ferretone.

I FEED MINE JAMES WELLBELOVED DRY FOOD,RAW OR BOILED EGGS ONCE A WEEK ALSO THE ODD TIN OF CAT FOOD

mine were on james welbeloved or some dry food like that with raw eggs but they have pigeon, pheasant, chicken, rabbits, partridge, ducks what evers left over from my kills really but they have garlic with most sounds weird i know but give them a better coat.

I used to feed them excel until the shop i got it from decided to stop selling it!

I mainly feed them rabbits and pigeons ,and try anything else i get or shoot sometimes they eat them other times they dont but ive noticed there no keen on crows and magpies

Also heard that garlic keeps ticks away. Nou sure how much of that is true though.

in all fairness i hadn't heard that but they haven't had any since i started giving it to them now you mention it that or im just lucky

I put a crushed clove of garlic in the dogs water bowls but i never thought about trying the ferrets on some

I feed mine pretty much anything i shoot, e.g rabbits, squirrel, pheasants, pigeons , magpies, crows, give them a raw egg now and again also a bit of fish, they have milk a couple of times a week. didn't know that about the garlic , nice tip.

Forgot to mention , i gut the rabbits , and throw the birds and sqiurls in whole , they eat the lot .
