Well done lads good night except for the dog fitting, mars bars ok in an emergency but dont overdo the chocolate, chocolate contains theo bromine which is toxic to dogs and can be fatal. ( LOOK ON INTERNET )

Make an electrolyte solution and take it with you, give the lurcher small drinks after a few runs.

You dont say how many or how hard the dogs ran, were they fit enough, not trying to be funny but a fit lurcher should be able to make 40-50 runs depending on conditions etc.

Try the electrolyte it works and is better for the dogs.

Good luck WR.

Good haul of bunnies there mate :victory: ..good to hear the dog is ok,sounds like it was an emergency WR so the old Mars saves the day again..seen it done several times over the years, only problem is the dog quite often can't control it's movements including eating so it has to be force fed "pushed down throat"..Betacel/Recharge or such is easier to give when made into a solution and safer BUT if needs be and it sounded like it was then you done the right thing :victory:.All the best PP.

if your dogs were in the boot of a car ,and did not get enough air ,then you contributed to the dog having a fit ,dont put dogs in boots of cars ,especialy after running them hard ,i have seen this happen a lot ,you was lucky a lot just open the boot to late and find a dead dog .

where do u want them to put the dogs, dogs have been put in boots of cars for years, just sometimes dogs have fits. seen loads a dogs having fits out in the open while they were working. just the dog having a bad time, usually recover in a day or 2 and thats them back to normal. if dogs cant get air in a boot of a car what chance has a terrier got down a fox hole

JMO you got a good bag of rabbits there, that could be the reason it had fits you might just of run it that bit much without realising it,when you go out in the future you always want to make sure you have some electrolite mixed with water and adog pan there as important as out for when you go for nights out :victory:
