another quick flight on the pond tonight

Recommended Posts

well after we shot our pond last night we went back to clean up empty shell as we both used semi-auto, but we fed the pond after we shot it last night it was all gone today, so i said feck it we shoot it again tonite as we knew more teal was coming in than 9 that we shot last nite , so anyway, i rang clayman set a time to meet, i picked him up and told him i would not shoot as had i sounder jnr on the .410 :gunsmilie: i just hoped that maybe one or two would come in to give jnr a shot, after abit two teal come in as jnr is only 8 he just was not fast on the gun mount to get on them in the air so he took it on the water and clayman took the other on the way out, that was jnr first duck ever shooting !!!!!! after abit teal poured in again in he took the second one in the water as clayman took them as they went out !!!! some great shooting from clayman where he shot 8 all together i think he took 3 teal on the way out, jnr done well for his first time on the gun at duck,i am right proud of him, hope to get him out more again,

just want to say thanks to clay man for letting a few teal in for him, and great shooting by him,

you wont get alot of duck in your pond with beasts in the field, they are prob eating all your feeding. it dosent take much to fill up a small teal if thats all thats coming into your pond i cant see them eating it all in a night depending how much you are feeding them. 7.5 28gram are not a good shell for duck ok for teal but when you start getting mallard in that are going away after first shot, you will just pepper them and they will prob fly off with shot in them. better with 3or4 in steel. just my opinion good luck with your pond
