GET THEM OUT (.)(.) 39 Posted October 21, 2009 Report Share Posted October 21, 2009 on one small farm that i have permission on i could show you easily 60 hares, , go around all my permission around one village and i can see anything up to 150 hares, , , well before tha ban me and a good friend had 20 odd, with 2 dogs in a couple of fields on the lamp, not many but bearing in mind it was my bitchs 5 night lamping in a row, plus my mates dog 2nd night in the season lamping we didnt do bad, , this was done on the lamp because the famer was complaing about the number of hares, and asked if we could clear a few up, if we didnt do it then he would of organised a hare shoot, before any abuse starts, , atb Quote Link to post

fireman 10,997 Posted October 21, 2009 Report Share Posted October 21, 2009 I also can see 100+ around my village and even saw a leveret the other night that was smaller than a rabbit so there even still at it here,have seen hares on ground this year they weren't on last year so it seems they've had a good breeding season in these parts.Just need a running dog now . fireman 10,997 Posted October 21, 2009 Report Share Posted October 21, 2009 I was out a little while ago and we saw 16 in the first field then the next few fields each held between 18-25,last spring when they were boxing one field a 5 min walk from my house held so many chasing each other i couldn't count them properly and lost count at 30+.
