I dont let mine pull tbh i find it irritating and dont think they should be allowed to pull whay would i let my dog take me for a walk lol.Mine walk not quite to heel but they stay in close and dont pull unless they see something they want to chase or another dogs approaches.Apart form which its counter active if the dogs pulling its not doing them any good the whole point of road work is its a nice steady pace if they pull they dont build the muscles right and its not going to be as effective

If the lead is taught the dogs telling you what to do mate should be the other way about in my opinion plus it insinuates to others the dogs agressive i know this is a load of crap but joe public works in mysterious ways a big lurcher at the end of a lead doesnt look like its under control where as if theyre by your side doing what your asking people i find are more relaxed round them

Pulling is good it strengthening and harding muscles. My dogs know the difference between walking on the pavement/road and out in the field working, so should yours. It only takes a sharp tug on the lead and/or a command. So, yes let it pull.
