In gerneral stamina comes with fitness, but it isnt as simple as that,, as a sprinter will be very fit, but he will not have the stamina of a long distance runner, so there fore breeding does have a great effect on stamina.

Breed in stamina with the collie blood or the saluki blood for the big ears, get the dog fit with work, and he will have good stamina for the job you want him for. When a dog gets clued up to its job it wll run cunning and therefore waste less energy leaving more fuel in the tank, increased ability to go on, stamina must not be relied on just because a dog is bred a certain way, hence the reason a well conditioned lurcher which runs cunning and knows its job, has been known to showup one or two purpose bred coursing dogs with a fair amount of saluki blood in them in the past.

unfit, you comment on every bodys explanation of stamina but have no opionion or explanation yourself on stamina- just sly comments , so please can you explain stamina to me in your own view and your own way you train your own dogs for the stamina side of a working dogs abilty.

no side stepping the question , just a straight honest answer. we had clues of you intending to start a dog young for the dogs stamina , but can you elaborate on this , eg age, breeding, and what your doing to a young dog to give it stamina, because from your posts you havent convinced me.

a straight honest answer and that is it. :D
