Sadly I lost a terrier to ground today.

 

After a good few hours of him entering, we broke through to him right up against his quarry but he was dead. He was wedged in so tight it seems he's blocked off the air flow and unfortunately he's suffocated as a result.

 

To say I'm gutted would be an understatement, but it's just how things turn out in this game some times.

Until it happens to you you dont think much about it' But today was the worst day ive had when DIGGIN' Breaking through to a DEAD TERRIER youve helped bring on since a pup is a FUCKINGG wounder, i am totally gutted for you' But what as already been said it's a RISK we take when working dog's so all the best in the future pal ROUGH COATED

As SCENT mentioned before I'm sure you could run a SHITE DOG up and down the M1 and it wouldn't get a SCRATCH

 

 

Totally agree, only the best die young giving 100%.

 

It's never easy losing a young dog though and my thoughts are with you..

what a gutter mate,lost a few dogs my self over the years as im sure a lot of others have,this hunting crack aint for the faint hearted keep your chin up mate atvb rob
