lots of signs of charlie everywhere but little evidence of a den, could they be using the gorse bushes as they are so thick??

most times you go out here you can see thousands of rabbits and more aften than not foxes and roe deer, cracking bit of land.

Reminds me of when i used to live up that neck of the woods

we used to walk around for hours with the dogs.

We were out one day for about 4 hours and we only checked 3 earths

nothing at home in any of them.

Dont give up thow there there somewhere :)

Hi,

 

your foxes will be lying up in the gorse, very difficult to deal with, afraid best method is a wee pack of hounds, or big leggy russells like J Waters runs up your way, I have the same type of ground and now only shoot it as its just far too risky running the terriers loose as you can never be sure where they are or what they are hunting in thick gorse as it is just so difficult to get through the bloody stuff. Why don't you try a midden and lie out as the light goes. Its a good way of getting them, course not as much fun as a dig or bolt.
