Toka 10 Posted October 29, 2009 Report Share Posted October 29, 2009 Totally agree Cleanspade...it is working for the terriers!!! some may be after more than rats and i hope Bilbo will get into a bit of fox , although most of the sets are off my permission one or two are on it and they are fairly easy ones to start a dog off on!! hope that he may see/be involved in a bit of action this season as he is willing enough, and likes fox scent the best, but still only young so dont want to ruin him...will wait and see. anyway Dabchick, good luck with your working and i hope your dogs do ya proud....each to their own, we should all be supporting each other as anyone who keeps the country sports going is doing something right in my book!!! qwe 0 Posted October 29, 2009 Report Share Posted October 29, 2009 i was also on the working plummer forum for a while and found it very interesting. for anyone into ratting it is probably the best ive seen. the members when i was on where varied and the majority helpfull and friendly the posts interesting the photography brillient. the forum has a small core of working terrier enthusiasts that work there dogs below. in genrtal a good place for working plummer owners. and i reckon most folk slating the forum have agenda.s or an axe to grinde... the best ratting post i have ever read/seen was on this forum. i have a clear mental picture of two dogs standing looking knackered after a masive amount of rats at a chicken farm. i cant remember the total but it was several hundred rats. worth joining just to see that post i am unbiased and know not one of the members personally. neither do i bother with any of the clubs. i just like working my wards and talking to like minded folk. Seen it but it still does not change the fact that the Dan the mod on there was the one that assured me Boadacia puppy farm was the best place to buy a pup.Take a look why this post was started.I wont be logging on again if thats the sort of thing admin like to bury under the carpet. Then there are posts about know faults in some of the dogs on there that have been closed. All very "nicey nicey, pritty pikkies" but get serious, I like to know the truth and you do not get it there. I wouldnt have a plummer if you paid me after seeing what i've seen now. Only this post was to show the discusting animal husbandry of one of the biggest plummer kennals in the world(Least thats what i was told?) and the fact they are sold by people, of what would to any novice may percive, as a position trust. They work well for me and pack well and i reckon would work fox as well as any plummer that lived given the right opotunity but I aint no digging man never have been (done my bit mind in my silly early years) ....as i dont like hard work! I prefer to see a dog work its nose and mine do that extermely well...and having whiped in and followed beagle packs for sometime i can say they (mine) are nearly as good. Im fulltime outside worker on the river 24/7 and am lucky enough. Soem breeders are weekenders and breed for money. Anyone who wants to know about inherited faults etc then ask away or join the epts forum and ask away..you get straight answers from me...you may not like the answer but tough. Quote Link to post

BILBO BILBO WHATS THIS BILBO SHUT UP im the proud owner of a 5 month old plummer terrier that i got from glenn. and couldnt be happier. As for bilbos owner, i have met him only once but have corasponded a few times on the epts forum, i find all his articles/ posts interesting and informative, and look forward to reading both. i have met glenn a few times, and hold both men with the respect that both deserve . glenn for what he has already achieved for the breed and bilbos owner for getting off his backside and bringing the breed to the forfront through the articles he writes for th cmw.and through his own website. as for calling him a c@#t and then inviting him on a dig and saying all the best. sorry but im not sure that those statments followed by the invitation make sense. but then again not all bi polar people do . oh yeah atb Quote Link to post
