langouroux 14
i currently have a Harris bipod that extends and also has a canterlever for unlevel ground, its about £ and its worht every penny mate, when your stood lamping from the rear of a pick up truck they really come in to their own. And if you are gong to ambush quarry and can lay or sit some where again they are amazing, as the legs are extendable depending how high or low you want them. http://www.sportsmanguncentre.co.uk/produc...BIPOD+L+SWIVEL/ As for shooting sticks, all i have is two long garden canes (the ones that are tubular steel coated in green plastic from home base) have i have drilled / bolted them together about 4 inches from the top. One little adjustment i made to them is putting an extra long bolt through so that you can have a finger rest which i really like. And they only cost me £5 to make, i can head shoot rabbits off them at 75 yards with ease. i did have some pics of the sticks i made but cant seem to find them im afraid. Quote Link to post

MrYou 0
we use garden canes , approx 5ft long, with a vacume belt across them. You can adjustthe belt by rolling it up or down to where ever you wish, good for walking with also. Quote Link to post

Plus a bit of foam around the lower end stops them 'clacking' together at the vital moment as spooking the quarry useful link here for making a 'quadpod' too: http://www.thestalkingdirectory.co.uk/foru...opic.php?t=6530 Quote Link to post
RicW 67
anyone used them in the field anygood? GOOD AND BAD POINTS is there such a thing as a cheap set. I've been thinking about using a camera tripod. Too heavy to carry round on a mooch but if you're setting up a hide for long range shots I reckon you could modify one to take a rifle. Get together with your gunsmith, design a rack to hold the gun where the camera would be. Then you could tighten the thing up to hold the gun steady and when you spot your quarry loosen the locking bolts and the gun should have free movement. Sniper not a stalker! Ric Quote Link to post
Effortless 0
I have a Harris L I think, extendable, and side-to-side swivel. Love it to bits. I'm too clumsy to stalk, so just stick my arse in a hedge with the rifle sat on the bipod pointing down the hedge line. Utterly rock solid and stable. Get one. Effortless. Quote Link to post
