hi,

im thinking of choosing a new scope for my rifle. it would be adjustable mag. with the scope i have at the moment (hawke reflx 3-10x40) i zero at 10x and usually hunt at 9x unless under 20 yrds when i go down to 7-8X. extreme close range i'll go down to 5-6X. also, what is a paralex? oh and my scope needs to be under £80 preferably.

cheers,Aaron

Bit overkill If he only uses 9x usually. Parralex adjustable Is just that you can move the objective lens around to get the picture crystal clear. I'm guessing your current scope doesn't have this? if It doesn't put the scope on 10x mag and try to focus at something around 10 yards away and It will be fuzzy or the picture will be fine yet the crosshairs will be fuzzy. Having an adjustable objective will correct that parralex error. I also use my AO to range find and find them really usefull.

JSR do;

Simmons Whitetail Classic Nightview. Great optics for £90 if you could stretch it. This will need to be parallax adjusted.

Nikko Stirling Gold Crown Airking 3 - 9 x 40 which is parallax adjustable @ £57.

Hawke Varmint 3 12 x 44 with milldots with adjustable objective @ £90 from BAR

Juat a few to think about. The Simmons will be a very good choice.
