Downunder_Sthn_Ferreter 16
Went out later this morning. Just myself & the dogs & a pair of Jills. The area. It's been hit hard with gassing around 8 months or so back. Numbers are way down & it's not too hard to see all the extra weed & grass growth around older large buries The girls on the job After working 4 sets with around 10/15 holes per lay, things were a bit slow with just 2 bunnys Any second now !! Having walked around 3 km's or more it was great exercise, but a little lean on the game side of things. Well bugger me not less than 50 yds from where i had parked the L/Cruiser, i found another bury in a rougher treed area next to an old dirt track. Deciding I'd give it a bash, i quickly set the nets, amazing how they always grow when you net them alone.... Eventually i had around 20 nets down and put the Ferrets in. Wasn't too long before i had the first bunny in hand. 3 more quickly followed before it went very quiet. Ferrets soon started to surface and were re-entered, however it was a non event after the first action. Anyway 6 bunny's for the few hours was a nice way to cap off a Sunday Cheers, Shaun Quote Link to post

Downunder_Sthn_Ferreter 16
Nice one, whats the temperature like where you are working? Temps at the moment are around the 18 - 22 deg mark. Once it starts hitting 25 & higher it is a real early morn exercise at best, for just a few hours before it gets too hot. Snakes in some area's are also something to keep in mind here as it gets warmer. Touch wood i haven't ever come across snakes while out ferreting. Cheers, Shaun Quote Link to post
