hairyface 211
i would like a mincer like WILKYS, but im guessing they are hard to come by, where would be the best place to ask... i suppose ebay would be as good a place to start
Wilky 0
I got mine from a mate who ran a small butchers shop that shut down, so I suppose you could ask at Tesco's because they're the c**ts that are closing down all the small village shops. I'll tell you where I saw two recently for sale at Andy Thorntons reclamation yard, he has a web site, also you can get exactly the same machine as a coffee grinder, so if you could get one of those you could get the parts to swap the front end back to a mincer. blando 0
why do you need to mince them? both of mine have been eating whole chicken wings or rabbit since they were 12 week pups, am i doing somthing wrong then?
Wilky 0
No your not mate, mine get plenty of bones as well, I just mince it so I can freeze it easier and control the amounts the dogs get a bit easier, if I didn't have the mincer I would just give the dogs the whole carcasses as well, they always get carcasses on the day we pick the meat up anyway. It's just a case of whatever suits your personal situation I guess.
Rabbithunter 456
Was this topic started, meaning HAND MINCERS? I just took it as if he was looking for one of the mincers like Wilky's

Guest baldie
My mate has one just like wilky,s , its the best there is .Most of the new stuff or smaller ones, wont handle bones, which is not a lot of good, as this is one of the plus points of mincing. My mate dropped on, and gave 40 quid for it, but i had to do some repairs. They are as rare as rocking horse shit, and £150 to £200 quid is the average price is you are lucky enought to drop on one.The beauty of mince, is that its compact, and saves freezer space, plus the bone is pulverised into tiny, bits.Great for shot up , bruised , unsaleable rabbits. My mate doesnt buy any meat at all, and feeds three dogs, with his, but he is doing at least 50 to rabbits a week, one way or another.

Vermin Dropper 2
Someone on smoochers uses this one and says it is good on bone, but why pay £200 + on e-bay when you can get the same model for £150 at this place....... http://www.northerntooluk.com/product/sear...search&k=mincer

nighttimenellie 4
By the looks of things i would say Wilkies is an Hobart 22, dont get anything smaller than a 22, as 12s wont handle the job, crypto peerless 22 is another decent mincer, and i find it hard to believe that the mincers from northern tool will handle a hard days mincing, maybe the odd rabbit, but if you have numbers to go through, you need ones with bigger gear boxes than will be in them(just my opinion, not stating any hard facts)on the mincing front i have a Hobart 22, i never use it, lob everything whole to the dog, or take the rabbits to the game dealer where for the price i get for 1 rabbit i can buy five pound of minced chicken, it works out better for me that way.
