whin 463
ive saw young pups work in a degree at 4 months and if youse read back in the old earth dog running dog my mate had a beardie cross danny marc glenn he will tell you all about his pup at 4 months old ,i have a pup roughly 4 months hees out for runs with big dogs now and loves it , but dont let him get to involved with the qaurys ide of things but he does no what deer smEll like rabbits and the earths they stay in, so he is working in a fashion ,this is a calm sensible pup been bred for generaitions of workers so no whats what with them , he is calm walks at heel and very affectinit so no head case , you just need to watch ps my sixmonth old pup is catching rabbs and i let her have a run once in a while she knows what game is , all depends how they are bred no good with mad terreir or hyper pups with no brains as they will start sqeeking , you need sensible type of jukels FULL STOP Quote Link to post
doga 50
my own bitch has been taking a fair few since she was around five or six month mainly mixy in a small paddock whilst ive been working the field on weeds and such but never would i take out a 3/4 month old pup in the lamp to do what dogs at a good age somtimes struggle to do,she has picked up in excess of maybe 40 rabbits doing this and to watch her was fun but the field was small enough not to afford her to get into unhealthy courses for her age,as said the vast majority were mixy.TRY KEEPING IT REAL instead of the usual bull. UNFIT 0
like i said seeing is beleaving and a lot have seen and commented to me how different my dog is to theirs ,it works the lamp 10 times better ,it has far more stamina ,it uses its brain ,and it is on the game before the game realises ,it is over every fence before me and waiting ,and i have never had to carry it back to the car because of any serious injury ,if you know what your doing ,and i dont think there is many that do ,it will make for a better dog if it has it in it .this is how all my dogs have turned out after starting early in life . .and the best thing is all the people that has lamped with me are starting to do the same ,or have done it for years .you lot that dont beleive just do what you think is best ,after all i know nothing after 30 odd years ,perhaps one day you lot that dont beleive can take me out and show me what i should be doing . chartpolski 22,903
Whin, Unfit; there are two different scenarios here ! Taking a 12 week pup for a walk with the older dogs to let it experience the sights, sounds and smells, is completely different to the madmen who talk about "COURSING WITH 12 WEEK OLD PUPS " !! My own pup comes out 3-4 times a day for a walk with the older dogs; but would I let it "course" or chase a rabbit ??? Would I hell !! Cheers. Quote Link to post

Cheers. Quote Link to post
