stormyboy 1,352
i know this wont interest you bunny killers ,but this dog GRIT that was started at 3 months old ,when he was 2years old he caught 14 wild fallow in one night single handed pre ban .how many dogs do you hear of that has even come close to half that ,not many . The owner of that deer park must have been well pissed. Just out of interest how can a pup of 3 months who hasnt a hope of catching a rabbit, gain anything good from chasing them. How for example would you stop them from yapping? just read it again ,it says WILD . i wont explain the rest ,if your realy interested then get out with some one with his and my ways and see . Please enlighten-i'm curious to find out this little known training method, used to train the ultimate dog. another one it has been written on here enough times TAKE THEM OUT YOUNG but first of all get to know what your doing your self . Ah yes-now i get it! Sow the seeds of doubt in peoples minds about their own abilities. Then crack on that "the wise ones" have superior training abilities. I like it! Nearly as good as the "best part of a dog" thread ! :secret: another :wankerzo4: Yes ive had the odd one "off the wrist",as most on here probably have. :wankerzo4: Ive asked you to elaborate on your training methods-not telling?? So enlighten. Im not closed minded but like to see the walk not just the talk.I'll be the first to eat my words-no problem. We're never too old to learn are we? (if someone has something worth teaching) its all on this site ,just look it up . look where? Dogs for sale-doing a bit? The doubters are not the only ones jerking the wrist i think. Talking the talk? Dont see any walking. Quote Link to post

This is a wind up; right ??? A THREE MONTH , (12 week) old pup, COURSING ???? Cheers. no wind up as you can see its not just me saying he was coursing at that age. hes a well known dog to alot of people he was coursing and catching at three and a half months and since that day he never looked back, and coursed the day before he died just as strong and as keen, and to top it off he never pulled off a thing. gritt is one of many great dogs he has trained my last bitch was gsd/whippet /greyhound took its first rabbit at 4 months after that you could,nt stop her, fantastic dog ,lost her last year age 11 Quote Link to post

jjbel 0
I have a saluki/whippet/greyhound bitch puppy at 6mths old knocking over rabbits like noones business, but thats not rare. At 3-4months is, but you get freaks in any animal. How long have lurchers been around? How long have German sheps been around? I am not saying they would be usless but if that cross were any good they would of been popular for lamping/coursing well before 2009/10. It wouldnt be a talking point now, it would be a known fact!! Think about it... noone questions a collie X, a whippet X, a greyhound X, a saluki X or bull X for that matter but German sheperd/Alsation X????? I dont think so!! Quote Link to post

I dont think so!! when lamping was in its hay day ie before the ban most people running alsation x would not dream of bragging what they were hunting with them ,for fear of not being able to continue doing what they enjoyed so you would not have heard about how good they are in the right hands ,,now most have given up because of the ban ,so dont look on sites like this ,after all you only hunt rabbits now .and that is like taking candy from a baby .
