Chunky10 0
Has anyone ever worked or seen working Springer Spanial X Lurchers. Do they make good rabbiting dogs? I have seen a photo of my father with one in 1939 & they were supposed to have been quite popular. Quote Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
I know some lads from s.yorks brought some springer whippets up that a lad in hartfordshire bred 30 years ago and they were shit hot cover dogs and never failed to catch in the day.I have been tempted to breed one of my small type springers with a good ped working whippet but have been worried about finding homes for surplus pups.atb dell Quote Link to post
Malt 379
There was a thread of a spaniel X whippet posted on here a while back. As usual everybody took the piss with it being an unusual cross, but when a few pictures were put up and it looked like a handy rabbit dog, all the knockers disappeared. Quote Link to post
