collie/grey 238
iv been looking for a pup and in the countymans weekly there is some pups the guys asking £750 a pup is a lucher pup worth that ? No, i would expect to pay no more than £350 for a very well bred pup from working parents. Although the average price for a lurcher pup would be from £100 - £200 in my opinion depending on what the breeder has done with them. Quote Link to post
UNFIT 0
you can offer to give pups away out of tried and tested dogs ,and you wont have many takers ,put a price so stupid it cant be believed and the lot will go .says it all really . i have just read further on this thread ,and the way these pups are bred justify their price . Stewy 1
iv been looking for a pup and in the countymans weekly there is some pups the guys asking £750 a pup is a lucher pup worth that ? You'd have to be crazy to buy a pup for that much as the boys have been saying anything over 250 is crazy unless its from the finest working stock. If i had any pups i'd look after you, theres far to many muppets out there trying to bleed people try so be careful. Quote Link to post

lurcher lass 9
not being funny you get what you pay for,, of course there is a chance of it being a con, but thats with any pup of any breed f any price. saluki's cost a grand if your after one thats from new lines,, just watch the parents work and ensure your happy with the care of the pups only you can decide if they're worth it Quote Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
The price of lurchers is beyond a joke getting then again i havent paid for one since1990 and that was £60 for a f1x saluki/grey.I always thought they were purpose bred mogrels for putting a meal on the table.I paid £25 for my first lurcher in the 70s out of the E&Mart and most of the lurchers advertised then wer not much more. But £700 for a lurcher Quote Link to post
