And at what age would you kill 'surplus' pups? You can't possibly say oh i will keep this one or these two when they first pop out!! If i bred my bitch i'd put a good price on the spare pups, every pup would be reared to the best standard and treated as if i was keeping them all until they left me and that wouldn't be until at least 10 weeks old. How selfish of you thinking that. Oh well i'll breed from you to get a pup or 2, f**k the others they're worthless. People that breed pups and rear them properly will barely make a profit. The people that make money are the ones that cut corners on the rearing of the litter.

say for example that you where to breed a litter with the sole intention of obtaining a dog pup and for arguments sake the bitch gave birth to 4 dog pups and 4 bitch pups then why not cull the bitch's at birth and keep 4 dog pups . 2 for your self and 2 for your mates .why put the bitch through feeding a full litter when you can half it and have stronger pups due to the fact of them not having a battle on to feed !!!

i thought the debait was the price of pups not kulling but anyway maybe if you were not that way inclined and wanted to rear an entire litter properly making a few quid to cover the costs of it all is not a bad thing is it.and if the new owner is parting with cash maybe you can be a bit more sure that there going to a decent home.i can see the argument for kulling if its a big litter and to much for the bitch to cope with or there is a weak pup or two but just for the sake of getting what you want seems almost as bad as asking big money for them.
