mally 832
Tripe on it's own is no good to man or beast, there's not enough in it on it's own to sustain a pup. A good greyhound complete food with Raw meat (fed seperatly) i feed pups at 8 weeks 4 meals a day. 2 meals of soaked complete greyhound racer and 2 meals of raw meat (usually lamb or chicken) i don't feed tripe. I use Chudleys greyhound racer, it's a little more expensive than others but i find it the only feed that will keep weight on my whippets when i work them hard. Even when i feed it without meat. Plus i found i don't need to feed as much, so in the long run it works out about the same price.

You do actually get what you pay for. I was speaking to the vet when i took my bitch for a booster and they see alot of dogs that are fed on Barf that are suffering different ailments due to the owners not feeding barf properly. Some just feed raw meat and bones without the vedge etc. It's a topic that will run and run, as i said i've fed both and i now feed a commercial food with raw lamb (fed at seperate times) and it suits my dogs who work well on that diet.. I've had dogs for over 25 years mate and i've fed both diets with success. I keep whippets now and i find a complete diet fed with raw lamb works best for them. (fed at seperate times).. As for visiting the vets i visit once a year with each dog for there annual booster.. This is my whippet bitch i'm running at the moment, 20" and 30lb i'm more than happy with her condition..
