Whistle call

I was wondering you know the way people would make a noise whilst feeding there ferret or ferrets so they would get used to this call and it would be used if they where out of sight whilst hunting to make them come back well i was wondering does anyone use one of those ACME solid tone whistles or any whistle at all other than the whistle you would make with ur lips i was thinking of useing one but i was told if i used it whilst hunting to call the ferrets that rabbits in a near by set would hear it and bolt

Ever occur to ye that, if blowing a whistle would bolt rabbits .....

 

Just squeak with ye lips, mate. Gently calling, " Come on then " is fine too. Doing that with ye face shoved down a bury won't alert 'near by' rabbits either. Never has, in my experiance anyway

every time you go near the ferret hutches make a little noise. wether its a wisstle or a tick tick noise or whatever noise u want to make the ferrets will soon come out of there bed when they reconise the noise and when u are ferreting make the same noise by the bunnie hole
