Out for an hour this afternoon.....

Recommended Posts

My new scopes arrived today.....

Tasco 6-24 x 50 AOEG :clapper:

Fitted straight on the rifle and went out to my usual ground to zero with Festa in tow......

On stepping into the field the usual bunnies weren't out...(too early for them!) so we made our way down to the second part of the pasture of which Festa has his rifle cocked and ready as mine wasnt yet zeroed. He led the way and the hand was soon up for me to stop.....on looking there were 3 sitting right in the middle of the ground, adopting the kneeling position and scoping up he indicated they were at about 25 metres so...half a mildot down he took the shot......**THWACK** it keeled over and twitched 2-3 times....a surgical shot to the head!

As we headed through the woods we saw a few more bolt but we couldn't get close due to the wind direction and the dried fallen leaves off the Hawthorn trees.

Anyway, round at my "zeroing range" I pulled out my backstop and attached a couple of zeroing targets I printed, measured my distance(25 metres) and started the process.

Zoom set to 10x, front parallax set to 25yds.....

The first few shots were about 8" low and 2" to the left as so the necessary adjustments were made,

the next few were an inch low and 1/2" to the left....more adjustment made.....

Then came the biz...... in the centre of my zeroing target is a 10mm square..... 5 shots one after the other in the same hole

Zeroing sorted.....now just need to get out there and raid Bunnyville!!

But I can definately recommend these to anyone!

Nice shooting Gary mate.

Im glad that you like your new Tasco Marksman. I told you that the scope is mint. Its another very well kept secret is te Tasco 6-24x50 ill AO I think if more hunters tried them they wouldnt change from them.

I cant see why people need to pay heaps for a expensive scope when you get the coated optics, fog and gas filled Tascos for next to nothing on the net and it includes a AO and mil dot reticle. What more do you need hey? I wouldnt swap my Tasco for any other scope. I know its caperbilities in low light and it has never once let me down.
