hi all

need a bit of advice please.

my 2yr old jill is always having a go at my 2 kitts ( 6 month old jills ) i,ve seperated them once and all well even when they out together she dosent touch them

but as soon as i put them in the same hutch after 5 mins all hell breaks loose. so do i keep the 2 yr old on her own or do i leave them to it to sort it out them selves.

by the way the hutch is 8 foot long 2 foot wide 4 foot high so theres plenty of room for them all.

thanks

its probably becasue the kits are coming into her territory that shes owned for 2 years , i would maybe not put them into the hutch together straight away just do it gradually and they might get on .

whenever swap my ferrets about theres always a bit of a ruck, just leave them to get on with it,usually sort it within an hour or less usually, never had one get hurt yet so i would probably give it another try mate but dont take my word for it,just my opinion.atvb sorting them out.

We had the same prob this year with 2 jill kitts we introduced to our court

All the jills were fine with the kitts exept one of our old girls shes 9 and kept giving

the 2 kitts a hard time eventualy we took the old girl out for about a week and then put her back

and although they had a couple of little squabbles they are now all work feed and sleep together fine

I think its a pecking order thing and little squabbles always sound worse than they actually are

keep trying them mate a bit at a time they should eventualy accept each other but keep a close eye on them

GOOD LUCK WITH IT
