MickC 1,825
I recently sold my Air Arms s400 in .22 calibre after having a go of a lads X2r.I suppose I fancied a change so I am now waiting for a X2r in .20 calibre to arrive. Not much between the 2 guns but the X2r is regulated so you get a higher shot count.I suppose its just whatever you feel like using. The best thing to do is try both types of gun and see what you yourself like the best.I wouldnt buy either of them tillI had tried them first. That's a good point Mick. Worth trying both and seeing which one you get on with. Both rifles are aimed at the same point in the market are both priced evenly. Having shot both I prefer the Air Arms because the magazine system is much easier for me to deal with. My fingers aren't as nimble as they used to be and I struggled loading the Daystate mag. If shot capacity is a problem for you the Daystate will carry more shots. The standard length rifles are supposed to hold more usuable shots than the carbine but I've found it negligible in the field. Go to a shop. Stick both rifles in your shoulder and see which one you prefer. Air Arms for me and Dandyman, Daystate for Mick... Time for a poll me thinks! Quote Link to post
woodga 170
YOUR RIGHT ABOUT THE MAGAZINE BEING FIDDLY IF YOU PULL ON THE BOLT TO MUCH YOU CANNOT RELEASE THE MAG IV HAD BOTH GUNS AND WOULD RECOMEND THE AIRARMS AS THE MORE USER FRIENDLY AND THE MAGAZINE ON THE AIR ARMS IS SIMPLICITY ITSELF TO LOAD EVEN IN PICH BLACK CONDITIONS I WOULD RECOMENED THE AIRARMS BUT EACH TO THERE OWN GOOD HUNTING ALL WOODGA  Quote Link to post
