Hollie 21
I am soooo mad right now. Last week i get a letter to say my income support was going down by nearly £20 a week (i work part-time and they top my wages up) So i phone to find out why..................i'm told i was meant to attend an interview in sept but because i didn't they take money off of me, i was supposed to have recieved 3 letters from the jobcentre regarding this interview and telling me why my money would be cut, did i recieve any letters NO, not 1, so i have a rant, get upset because i genuinly would have attended the interview had i known i was meant to go, i contact the post office about not recieving my post, they tell me there is nothing they can do about it Make another appointment with the job centre, speak to a very nice man who seems very understanding, reschedule the appointment for tuesday 13th Oct @ 10.40, also going to talk to him about how many hours i would need to work to make it worthwhile coming off the benifit completly, he says not a problem we will sort it all out on Tuesday. Phone up this morning (date of appointment) to double check what i need to take because they are known for telling you to take certain things and when you turn up you should have taken other certain documents! I am told the appoinment has been cancelled I have not been told the appointment has been cancelled and they won't tell me WHY or WHO has cancelled it and are generally very dismissive of me. I'm so pissed off, i rushed about this morning doing the school run and walking the dog, my little girl cried when i left her today so i was emotional anyway and then the b*****ds go and do this if i hadn't have phoned i would have driven the 12 miles over there! How can they get away with this, it seems they can just mess people around ARGHHHHHHH Rant over

Hollie 21
Glad i'm not the only one that has problems with them, this isn't the 1st time i have been messed about by the jobcentre, i just find it infuriating that they don't give a damn and can do what the hell they like, i am going to put a complaint in but whats the guess nobody does anything about it! Rabbithunter 456
i know its easier said than done, but your best to come off benfits, and find another way to make ends meet. I know this isnt always possible, especially if your on housing benefit aswell?? I was on the dole and after so long they put you on something called "new deal" they wanted me to do a 2 week course, sitting in a room full of people, learning how to write C.Vs and applications. Told em to stick it
alphasha 0
Oh no, you have my complete sympathy, they are changing the income support laws as well. Think I have this right that they only affect single parents, so benefits stop when your child is 7, 10 or 12 depending on the year your child was born, however this apparently doesn't apply to families where both parents are out of work. i might of misunderstood it, but thats what I was told by a Jobcentre worker. Still you could always pay £25 to change your name and be from the EU or any other part of the world and you'd never have to work again in this country. The things that foreign migrants get in benefits and support services are un believable . Do you think if we all emigrate to any eastern european country we can have the same. I am going to try and get off benifits completly when my daughter starts school full time after xmas, thats what the interview/appoinment was about. I am a single parent, i worked from the month i left school until i was 7 months pregnant then i had a year off maternity leave and i have worked part time ever since, i am doing what i can, i am starting a 2 year access course next year and then i am going to train to be a midwife, it isn't like i just sit on my arse and live off the state but they don't care, benifit is benifit to them and they treat everyone the same......like shit! Night Hunter 109
I had a bit of bother with them years ago when i went up to get my stamp paid the girl spoke down to me and said what have you done to find yourself a job ,i replied that i had filled in the paperwork that they gave me and then asked her what the feck she had done to find me a job, looking at her blank expression i picked up my forms and told her to jam my claim up her erse ,walked out needless to say i didnt get my stamp paid but boy did i feel much better...... kennyboy 1
Hmmm... Sounds like you are an honest, hard working person. You are too much work for the morons that work for THE DEPARTMENT FOR WORK AND PENSIONS, aka THE DSS. Tell them nothing and if they ask a question stare vacantly and drool. You will probably walk away with more benifits.

Guest clash
Its part of their policy to try and piss people off so they dont claim. Your so so right there. Up until early this year i'd had 8 month off without anything off them..................after telling the gentleman behind the desk to shove his dole money right up his cake hole. The problem is though if you dont sighn on for your stamp wat happens then is that the DWP presume that you are working and if you are not they will start demanding national insurance contributions off you as i would quite happily not bother sighning on every 2 weeks if they left me alone. atb dell
