Keeps 403
First time we went out ferreting was a few weeks ago, but the cover was way too high and there were too many birds about on the shoot, so we didn't have a good day, apart from the fact that the temperatures were warmer than they were in the summer Then shortly after Mr Keeps hurt his leg when we were out ratting one night - at first the docs thought it was broken so he's had to rest it for a few weeks, but hopefully it seems to be on the mend now.. so we thought we'd have a short look out yesterday just to see how it went. We took Daisy, one of our terriers along with us, as she does enjoy herself up there. The rabbits are a bit thin on the ground this year, keeper tells us theres been a lot of myxi about up there, so heres hoping its not the same all over the estate. Anyway, dogs enjoyed themselves bushing a few on top, and we did a bit of ferreting in the woods - too dark in there yesterday for any action pics, but heres a few photos of our morning out Quote Link to post

Keeps 403
Couldn't imagine ferreting without dogs, for me there really would be no point as I only do it to see the dogs working.. What about the dogs in your avatar - they are very smart - don't you take them? Quote Link to post
