bedrock 16
I gut rabbits in the field and skin them when I get home some times I hang them for a day. I hang hare with the guts in and out and have done it for as long as a week in the winter and it makes the meat tast completely different.
Colster 1
If I'm stalking I gut each one straight away, if I'm lamping we'll typically stop half way through and gut what we have then do the rest at the end of the night. After that they can sit in the fridge with the skins on for a couple of days before skinning, soaking and then sticking in the freezer.
Halfinch 51
I gut them in the field, and any for the pot get skined when I get back, the rest for the ferrets get put in the freezer with head and skin on as that is how they are fed to the ferrets.
Fat-Ferret 857
I usually gut them before I take them home, But at night I always have a head torch to see what Im doing and make sure the liver looks ok, and theres no tape worm or cyst nonsense in any Im eating, any that do, I cut off an ear so I know its not for cooking.
