Work Wonders: Feed Your Dog Raw Meaty Bones.

Recommended Posts

Hello, Im picking up a new pup soon and have been looking in to the BARF diet, Is this book any good and does it include enough information for feeding pups?

Its a hell of a lot cheaper and actually has better reviews than the barf diet by Ian Billinghurst.

Just wondering if any one had any views on this book??

Any help appretiated.

Also can any one reccomend any good books on dog training? Getting collie/grey/whippet will be just used for rabbits but happy to get a good book on just the basics to start with then maybe one for hunting later. What ever is best.

Cheers

Neil

Excellent book and diet (my opinion) a hell of a lot better and simpler than barf.

Take a look also at

UK advice http://www.ukrmb.co.uk/showcontent.toy?contentnid=175912 and http://www.ukrmb.co.uk/showcontent.toy?contentnid=175913

and to counter some of the crap put out by the petfood companies and most vets

Cheers Kiz,

Will order the book then!! Its a hell of a lot cheaper than the BARF book but also has better rating than it, i suppose just because the BARF book is more expensive dont mean its better.

Thanks for the links i like the one with the receipe section where it says on most take food/lungs/head/fish etc and hand it to your dog, lol!

Cheers for that mate, does the book have much info about feeding pups? picking my 8wk old up in about a wk.

Will start aproaching my local butchers then, if i can get enough regular meat might have a look in to getting my cats on the diet also.

More on dogs in general rather than pups specifically.

A good group to join is http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/RawMeatyBones/

Any questions and normally get good answers and also a few vets are members as well, not just dogs but cats as well.

Thats ok, just as long as it has info on pups will save getting another book in the future.

Will have a look at the yahoo group, im on yahoo allready so nice and easy.

Cheers again kiz
