Your opinion - best cross for large bags of rabbits??

Recommended Posts

david this dog often takes big numbers he'll run single handed run after run with unbelievable amount of stamina. in the end you have to stop him coz he'll run himself to death, if you let him. i had 24 with him in about 40 mins over sand dunes real hard running but had to stop coz my mate was winging no more lol

What are people's opinions on the best cross of Lurcher for large bags of rabbits? I'd like to hear from people that have taken large bags of rabbits with their own dogs over the years. Pics would be good, if possible.

When I say large bags, I mean 30+. I've only ever done it once with a 3/8 Collie, 5/8 Greyhound bitch (pic below - posted it before but it's the only one I have!). I never really had the ground to run on for large numbers so she did well to get that.

Let's have your opinions and pics please!

lots of crosses can do the numbers, but there have been one or two strains of bitsa types that have exceled at it, the lads from the north east, with there colie/deer/bedy types, Mc fee with his whip/grey types. and of course minshaw ;)

heres a 1/4 kelpie x (fawn) and a whipp/grey with some good bags
