Quixote 9
Thought you might like a look at my squad...........? They're handled every day, whether they're working or not. Each one is completely bombproof as a result...........and not a nose amongst them has ever been flicked When they're not out in the field, they're treated as pets. Quote Link to post

Quixote 9
Cheers for the replies, fellas Four of them are this years kits, so are still mad as a box of frogs! The big lad's a complete net-wrecker, & he's full of mischief! He's learned that tangling a net is brilliant fun, as he gets to ambush me at the hole when I go to reset it. He doesn't half give us a laugh though Last years bino's are shaping up well.............the wee jill has an injury to her leg but she's sorted now, so she'll be ready for another trip out very shortly. And the two smaller poleys are a couple of cracking wee workers! The rest of them still to need to ge the daftness out of their system, but I'm pretty sure they'll come good given time. And if they don't? Well, they'll stay as pets anyway Quote Link to post
Downunder_Sthn_Ferreter 16
Gday Quixote, Great sumptious living quarters for your furry buddys. You can see the joy in them, in the way there just all over you like flys at a butchers picnic... Great set up, with heaps of room for them to unwind, or wind up lol It's excellent having them all racing about, just had ours out & didn't they go crazy.... Want some fun with them, get a cheap laundry basket. the ones with light gauge netting, fold up style, there around $ 2 from the dollar dazzler type shite shops etc. While your there grab a dozen or more of those dodgy useless table tennis balls & throw them in the basket. Add a soft toy with bells & "wella" ...you have a very effective crazy pen for them... Release 2 or more ferrets into this & stand by... As its light they can turn it over and over before the balls spill....then they go crazy chasing and pouncing on em.... So funny & entertaining... plus a heap of deserved exercise to boot Cheers, Shaun Edited October 13, 2009 by Downunder_Sthn_Ferreter Quote Link to post
JordKil 0
Crackers mate. Handling does pay off in the end last thing you want is a big hob biting your hand when you put your hand down the hole! Its funny when they go into your boots though my lot are always at it and theres ten of them! After a while you forget that they're stinky and you get so carried away that you go back in the house and get kicked out ATB Jordan Quote Link to post
