RicW 67
thanks for all ur replys the furthest ill be shooting is about 200-250 then i meet a hill but u never know. the last thing i want 2 do is injure a fox clean kill or nothing. last thing we need running about is a gangreen fox for some body to see Amen to that. Hence my concern about downrange killing power. Will you be reloading? I know there's not much choice of factory ammunition, but at those ranges the Remington 32gr V-Max should be a one shot drop. Any half decent reloads should be MUCH more accurate than factory ammo. As for cost, depends how many rounds you fire. The more you fire the cheaper the reloads get! You have to front the cost of the dies and so on but once they're paid for they're paid for! If your oppo loads .303 I'd like to meet him sometime. I learned to shoot with a Lee-Enfield .303 way back in the '60s. Much under-rated round IMO! Ric Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
Accuracy gains are not as much in 204, all the original calibre reviews raved about it, and the factory stuff still seems to be quicker than reloads. But they aren't cheap Quote Link to post

But they aren't cheap did you crono them mr l ? i wouldnt go by what the factory rounds tell you for speed on the box I've looked at several reloading sites from the States, and they all say that Hornady's figures for MV are correct . . . Hornady factory ammo is phenomenally accurate . . . It is not possible to reload to higher MV than factory. So you would reload if you were firing a lot of rounds, to save money, not to gain performance. And yes, I realise I'm contradicting myself. Mr L is correct about the accuracy of factory .204 Ric Edited October 18, 2009 by RicW Quote Link to post

Aaron Proffitt 142
I love my .204 T/C Encore handgun in a 15" barrel ...performs excellent out to about 250 yards on called coyotes and bobcats. Very little fur damage and turns them right off. Quote Link to post
