SHOCKING-PET FOOD

That's rank. From a week ago i've started making all my own Dog food. I make it every 3 days and keep it in the fridge. I started making it because alot of rabbits that i was shooting/snaring/feretting was going to waste, so i cut all the meat of the bones, then i dice the meat, fry it up dry, i don't use any fats what so ever, then i put a very small amount of ravy granuals in then a little bit of water. The end result is something that my JRT loves and it's basically free. I also give her some mixer pellets with it.

Do keep up with the mixer and add cooked vegedables. Unless you feel like boiling up the stomach contents ,guts and bits of skin your dog will be short of nutrients . Rabbit meat is high in protein but not a lot else . There are tales of old time trappers dying of malnutrition because they though they could live on bunny meat alone .

just a hunch do you watch qi

I don't like to giver her it whole because she trapes it all over the kitchen floor and the blood goes everywhere lol. Then the old deer has a moan.

Try feeding her outside

I try but she won't eat it outside. I'll leave it and her outside for at least and hour and she won't touch it. I'm not stupid Hollie.

I never said you were stupid, i suggested feeding her outside!

Try again, if she doesn't eat it after your chosen time space, take it away, leave her hingry for the night, feed her agin outside the next day, bet she eats it!!!

Dogs do not starve themselves, they just know how to work us humans!

its bloody shocking , i had a look on the back of a tin of hot dogs sauages a few weeks back, it was somthing like 10% pork and 90% mechanicly formed chicken now i aint to sure what that actually means got a bit of an idea, but i am never gona eat another hotdog again . I bet there is loads of shite like that in our food , i always check the labels now .

Ive been wanting to feed raw for ages but cant figure it all out theres loads of arguements for and against and when i mentioned it the vet went mental saying how many dogs they get in fed on barf that have bones lodged in places they shouldnt be dogs dying from splinters etc so that kind of put me off still thinking on putting minced raw through their biscuit cos theyre on canin at the moment and its extortionate

Mechanicaly recovered/formed means that they get a load of carcusses and then they jetwash all the meat off of them.

As above if your feeding rabbit as the main source then add fat or use it as an extra to a balenced diet. There are videos of awful stuff being fed to humans it don't mean it's all like that and we should stop eating meat lol.
