doxhope 2
Hi everyone, I am from Northumberland in the UK. I have kept working lurchers for nearly 30 years, and Scottish deerhounds since 1990. I am also interested in all aspects of wildlife and countrysports and pastimes. Had a quick look in the chat room last night, it was fast and furious, but some great crack going on....

doxhope 2
Hi KYE, Three pups went to the USA from our last litter, Gary Hosker who lived over here and regularly wrote in the sporting press got 2 bitches, I think he lives in florida. He regularly hunts coyote, among other things, sometimes send good pics. He was going to use the deerhounds, but his wife Joi is reaping great benefits in the show ring at the moment, but I do believe he is going to breed some deerhound x greyhounds over there for the job. The other pup was a male, havnt heard how that one is fairing...Have other contacts in the USA, hunters and lure coursers, send me an e mail and I will give them as contacts, they all seem very keen. Will sort some pics out, but still trying to fathom out how to upload them properly, having difficulties, age thing, but Ian the administrator is coaching me, so it wont be long, Cheers for the contact, Love to see your dogs too... All the best, Bill

doxhope 2
HI KYE, Will find out exactly where he live, and hunts, I know they travel hellish distances just to show, I know he also hunts wild pig and bear, but not with first crossers or deerhounds. Have a look at his site, contact him, he will be able to give you much more information than me I can. Dont know how mine would fair, Im not one for taking things for granted, its easy to say they would do the business sitting here in the UK, but, they might just as easy not go in at all. Mine do foxes easily, but I am not so much a fox hunter. Big scores of rabbits on the lamp thats my kink, some hares, some foxes and the occaisional big fella Love to see some pics, and hope you have a good night. Good hunting, Bill
Kye 77
I know what your saying mate!...its all very well guessing and assuming...you just dont know with dogs...they are animals after all!...i emailed Gary when i first got here...he told me (this was more than a year ago though) that he didnt hunt Yotes, but had taken up Bear hunting big style...he sent me some pics of a bitch that he had for sale, she was about 14 months old...later on, i happened to see a video of the bitch, not working, just milling about the yard...it was being tortured buy some Hounds (think they where B&T) she looked like she had a broken soul...very sad looking and out of place...it was quite sad to see realy...yeah we have to travle some distance to hunt, i can tell you!...we drive five thousand miles (around trip!) to hunt Ground Hog...this will be my first real season with running dogs in the States, and i will have two dogs ready to go, so im looking forward to it! all the best Kye,..
